Last week, President Joe Biden signed executive orders requiring mask-wearing in U.S. airports and most flights, buses, trains and ferries, and in federal buildings and on federal land.
āWearing masks isnāt a partisan issue,ā Biden said. āItās a patriotic act that can save countless lives.ā
The measures are in line with the Centers for Disease Control and Preventionās guidelines to help combat the spread of COVID-19. In addition, Biden is requiring airline passengers entering the U.S. from foreign countries to have proof of a negative COVID-19 test and to self-quarantine upon entering the country.

āWe also strongly support the presidentās mask mandate for interstate travel, which is in line with the industryās health and safety guidance and consistent with what countless travel businesses are already doing to protect travelers and workers,ā said Roger Dow, USTA president and CEO.
