This Summer’s Can’t-Miss Classic Car Shows

Classic car shows are as much a part of summer as beaches and barbecues. For car lovers, it’s hard to beat an afternoon spent ogling acres of vintage vehicles and chatting up fellow autophiles while soaking up the warm weather.   

Here are some of our favorite annual classic car shows in our region happening through the fall. If you miss any this year, be sure to mark your calendars for 2025! 

CONNECTICUT

City Point Yacht Club Car Show 

Aug. 3, rain date Aug. 4; 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. 

New Haven, Conn. 

$15 car registration.

All proceeds will be donated to breast cancer research awareness. 

Italian American Police Society Vincent Penna Jr. Memorial Car Show 

Aug. 11, rain date Aug. 18; 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

148 East Ave., Norwalk, Conn.  

$20 car registration; spectators free.  


MASSACHUSETTS

Misselwood Concours d’Elegance at Endicott College 

July 21; 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. 

407 Hale St., Beverly, Mass.  

Tickets start at $35. All proceeds support Endicott College student scholarships.  

The Boston Cup 

Sept. 29; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

Boston Common, downtown Boston 

Tickets start at $50.  

Larz Anderson Auto Museum Extinct & Vintage Car Day 

Oct 19; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

Larz Anderson Auto Museum 

15 Newton St., Brookline, Mass.  

Car registration starts at $20. Spectator ticket prices vary; see website for details.  


NEW HAMPSHIRE

Classic Car Show at the Aviation Museum of New Hampshire 

July 13, rain date July 20; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

27 Navigator Road, Londonderry, N.H. 

$10 vehicle entry, plus occupants. Spectator admission is $5 per adult; children 12 and under free. Cash only. Admission to museum is included.  


NEW JERSEY

Ocean City Antique Auto Show 

June 22; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Boardwalk parade after 2 p.m. 

Tabernacle grounds, 6th and Asbury avenues, Ocean City, N.J.  

Run by the Antique Automobile Club of America, this event draws more than 300 vintage vehicles.

Monmouth Park Classic Car Show & Oldies Day 

July 7; 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.  

175 Oceanport Ave., Oceanport, N.J.  

General admission is $6; children 12 and younger are free.  
 

Lead East Oldies Festival and Car Show  

Aug. 29 to Sept. 1; 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

One Hilton Court, Parsippany, N.J.  

Admission price varies; see website for details.   


NEW YORK

Car Show of the Schoharie Valley Region  

July 14; 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine 

1378 Route 30, North Blenheim, N.Y. 

Free for show vehicles and visitors.  

Hosted by the Antique Automobile Club of America AACA in conjunction with the New York Power Authority and located on the grounds of the Historic Lansing Manor.   

Syracuse Nationals Car Show  

July 19 to 21; 8 a.m. to evening 

581 State Fair Blvd., Syracuse, N.Y.  

Car registration starts at $50; attendee tickets start at $20.  

Billed as the largest car show in the Northeast! 


RHODE ISLAND

Audrain Automobile Museum Cars & Coffee  

June to Nov. 10; 8 to 10 a.m. 

Various locations in Rhode Island.  

South County Car Show 

June 29 

9 a.m. to 2 p.m.  

4115 Old Post Road, Charlestown, R.I. 

All proceeds support the Rhode Island Honor Flight veterans program.  

Hosted by Westerly-Pawcatuck Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America and the Westerly Rotary Club  

James D. Rielly Foundation Cruise-In for a Cause Charity Car Show and Toy Drive 

Aug. 11, rain date Aug. 18; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

250 Metacom Ave., Bristol, R.I. 

$20 car registration; spectators free 

Benefits the children and families of service members, law enforcement, first responders and the Bristol Santa House.
