AAA Employee Wins Prestigious Tech Award

Liam Theis, a AAA employee in information technology, is a winner of the annual Next Tech Generation award presented by the Tech Collective in partnership with Rhode Island Monthly magazine.

Theis is a data analyst who was hired at AAA straight out of college. He received the award at a ceremony on Dec. 1.

Dean Patterson, vice president of information technology at AAA, and Sandeep Chadha, vice president of enterprise data management, nominated Theis for the Next Tech Generation award.

“It is the most prestigious awards program comprising the largest Rhode Island companies,” said Chadha. “It recognizes technical talent, from every corner of Rhode Island, who have delivered exemplary business solutions built on cutting-edge technologies.”

Chadha, who has worked with Theis for two years, applauds his work ethic and extraordinary talent.

“Liam always does his job to the best of his ability, expects the same of colleagues and effortlessly raises everyone’s standards,” Chadha said. “He feels a sense of ownership and control over what he does, and there’s no stopping him. He’s always willing to go above and beyond. He’s truly a fit for our company culture.”

Theis, a AAA employee since 2019, was notified that he was a winner of the Next Tech Generation Award in October.

“It feels great to know my coworkers appreciate the work I do and want to see our larger business community recognize it,” he said. And he appreciates his his fellow AAA employees in return. “My job would not be possible without the hundreds of hardworking people at AAA. The nuts and bolts of my everyday tasks are byproducts of that hard work. I hope I can provide back just as much as everyone has provided me.”

Liam, a graduate of Bryant University in Smithfield, R.I., was previously featured in a Your AAA Network article about AAA’s partnership with the university.
